Praise for Supporting disadvantaged Pupils

We are thrilled that two of our schools have received praise from Bridget Phillipson, Secretary of State for Education for their hard work in ensuring that children who face greater disadvantage than others are achieving success in our schools.

Alderman Jacobs School and Werrington Primary School have received a letter today praising the work that has taken place.  We know that children who achieve expected outcomes in all three areas of reading, writing and maths have more chance of doing well in their GCSE's and achieving their goals in later life. We are pleased to be able to set children on a strong path to success.

Our schools work collaboratively and closely together and regularly share what works well so that we can continue to improve the education and opportunities that we offer everyone.

Well done to everyone involved in making sure children belong, thrive, enjoy and succeed.
